First Editions® Hydrangea Little Hottie
Care Instructions
Light: Plant your hydrangea in a location that receives at least 6 hours of sun each day. Full sun is ideal in cooler climates, while afternoon shade is beneficial in hotter regions to help keep blooms looking their best.
Water: Water regularly during the first growing season to establish a strong root system. Once established, keep the soil consistently moist but not waterlogged, providing supplemental water during hot or dry periods.
Fertilizer: Feed in early spring with a balanced, slow release fertilizer formulated for flowering shrubs to encourage healthy growth and abundant blooms.
Pruning: Prune in late winter or early spring before new growth begins. Little Hottie® blooms on new wood, so annual pruning encourages vigorous growth and larger flower displays without sacrificing blooms.
Cold Hardiness: Hardy in USDA Zones 3–8. This hydrangea is exceptionally cold-hardy and returns each year with beautiful white blooms that mature to soft pink as the season progresses.
