Rudbeckia, also known as black-eyed Susan, illuminates flower gardens and open fields everywhere like bright rays of sunshine. They also attract a continuous procession of pollinators, bringing even more color and vibrancy to the summer garden.

Rudbeckia flowers need a sunny spot with average to rich, well-drained soil. Keep the plants well watered their first season in order to get them established. Once established, they will be quite drought-resistant. Regular deadheading of the faded flowers will keep the plants in bloom longer. Hardiness zones range from 4-9.
